Keralablends was born out of a simple experience.
We, Ceptigen Technologies Pvt. Ltd., operate out of Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala,India but the idea for Keralablends did not begin in an office. It began during a visit to a nearby town where we happened to see a small coconut oil manufacturer producing oil in a traditional way.
The oil we saw looked slightly different from the perfectly clear bottles we usually see on retail shelves. It appeared a little cloudy and naturally we were curious. When we asked the producer about it, he patiently explained his process.
Instead of using chemical filtration or additives, he simply stored the freshly extracted oil in a steel drum for a period of time. During this time, the natural sediments slowly settled at the bottom. Once the oil had rested long enough, he carefully poured the clear oil from the top into bottles and sold it in the local market.
It was a simple, traditional method that relied on time and patience rather than processing or additives.
Out of curiosity, we spoke to a few customers who had come to buy the oil. Every one of them had something positive to say. Many had been buying from him for years because they trusted the way the oil was made.
We bought a bottle ourselves and tried it at home. What we experienced matched exactly what the customers had told us, it felt natural, authentic and closer to how coconut oil used to be made.
That small visit led to a simple question:
If such good products are being made by small producers, why are they available only in small local markets?
Why can’t more people access these products?
And why shouldn’t the producers who make them get a wider market for their work?
Keralablends was created with that idea, to help bring authentic products from small producers and farmers directly to customers, while keeping the process simple and honest.
Our role is not to change how these products are made.
Our role is simply to help connect the people who make them with the people who value them.
